Ioannis Papadogiannakis
Mastologist -Breast Surgeon
Ioannis Papadogiannakis graduated from the Medical School of Athens with honors and has specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of EKPA University. During the period 2004-2008, he specialized in Breast Surgery at the Breast Center of the IASO Maternity Hospital, where he now holds the position of the Attending Doctor in the 1st Breast Clinic. Since 2008 he has been an associate mastologist and breast surgeon at the emBIO IVF Medical Center.
Since 2002 dr Ioannis Papadogiannakis has been practicing the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology and since 2008 the subspecialty of Breast Surgery/Mastology. Since 2017, he has been active in the city of Chania, exclusively in the field of Mastology, maintaining a breast clinic and performing surgeries in the city’s hospitals and clinics.
He is married with two children and he is fluent in English and French.


EXPERIENCE
Broad experience and specialization in breast conditions
Having 19 years of experience in the field of mastology, dr Papadogiannakis performs breast ultrasounds, punctures with FNA, core biopsy as well as the entire spectrum of breast surgery (lumpectomy, mastectomy, axillary lymphadenectomy, sentinel lymph node technique, etc.). He is a member of the Hellenic Society of Mastology and the Hellenic Gynecological Society of Breast Diseases and participates in the weekly Breast Oncology Council of the IASO Maternity Hospital. Dr Papadogiannakis is active in the scientific community, often participating in international medical conferences and publishing articles on important Greek and international scientific journals. Moreover, he has collaborated with some of the most important hospitals and clinics in the country.
He creates a personal relationship with each one of his patients, based on respect and trust, while he is following contemporary approaches based on European guidelines in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and breast conditions.
